PAWSCARE PRIVACY POLICY

1. Who we are
Pawscare (package name: com.pawscare.pawscare) is developed and provided by Hakan Kaba, operating under HNM Labs. This policy explains how Pawscare collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the Pawscare mobile application and its related services.

2. Information we collect
Account information: When you create or use an account, we may process your name, email address, Firebase user identifier, sign-in provider, and optional profile photo. Authentication may be performed using email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. Authentication credentials are handled by the relevant authentication provider and Firebase Authentication.
Pet-care information: You may choose to provide pet names, species, breed, age or birth details, sex, color, weight, allergies, identification or microchip information, care notes, feeding and water schedules, vitamins, training plans, reminder status, feeding logs, and optional pet photos.
Community information: If you use Pawscare Community, your display name, handle, profile photo, biography, selected public pet information, posts, comments, photos, poll responses, reactions, follows, blocks, and reports may be processed. Content you publish in Community is visible to other signed-in Pawscare users.
Device and usage information: Firebase services may process device identifiers, app-instance information, IP address, operating-system information, app interactions, diagnostics, analytics events, and crash or performance information. A Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token may be created to provide push notifications.
Location information: With your permission, Pawscare accesses your approximate or precise location while you use the Nearby feature to center the map. Pawscare does not store this location in your Pawscare account database. Map tiles are provided by OpenStreetMap; requests for map tiles may disclose your IP address and the approximate map area being viewed to the tile service. Searches opened in Google Maps or another maps application are governed by that service's own privacy policy.
Photos and media: With your permission, you may select photos for your account, pets, or Community posts. Selected photos are uploaded to Firebase Storage when you choose to save or publish them.
Notifications and local data: Pawscare may request notification permission. Reminder schedules and selected preferences may also be stored locally on your device, including data used by home-screen widgets. Local reminders can work without sending their contents to a notification server.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; synchronize pet-care records across devices; provide reminders, home-screen widgets, Nearby maps, and Community features; display content you choose to publish; deliver notifications; maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app; prevent abuse and enforce Community rules; respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share or process information with service providers only as needed to operate Pawscare, including Google Firebase services (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, and Analytics), Google Sign-In and Google Maps, Sign in with Apple, and OpenStreetMap tile services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Information you publish in Pawscare Community is shared with other Community users. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the public, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Data retention and deletion
We retain account and pet-care information while your account is active or as necessary to provide Pawscare. You can delete your account from the app's Settings area. Account deletion removes the Firebase Authentication account and attempts to delete the associated Pawscare Firestore records and uploaded files, including profile, pet, and Community content. Some moderation, fraud-prevention, legal, backup, or security records may be retained for a limited period where necessary. Content copied or shared by other users outside Pawscare cannot be withdrawn by us.
You may also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing hello@hnmlabs.com from the address associated with your account.
6. Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete much of the information you provide within the app. You can control photo, location, and notification permissions in your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
7. Data security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and Firebase access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.
8. Children's privacy
Pawscare is not intended to collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If a user is below the minimum age required by local law, a parent or legal guardian must provide any required authorization. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact hello@hnmlabs.com so we can investigate and delete it where required.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to Pawscare, legal requirements, or service providers. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel.
