Pawscare Privacy Policy
This policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, retained, and protected when you use the Pawscare mobile application.
1. Who We Are
Pawscare (com.pawscare.pawscare) is developed and provided by Hakan Kaba, operating under HNM Labs.
In this policy, “Pawscare,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Hakan Kaba operating under HNM Labs. This policy applies specifically to the Pawscare mobile application and its related features and services.
We do not sell personal data.
2. Information We Collect
Pawscare uses Firebase Authentication for email and password sign-in, Google Sign-In, and Sign in with Apple. Depending on the method you choose and the information you provide, we may process your name, email address, Firebase user ID, authentication provider information, and an optional profile photo.
You may enter information such as a pet’s name, species, breed, age or birth information, sex, color, weight, allergies, identification or microchip information, and care notes. You may also create meal, water, vitamin, and training plans, reminder status, and feeding records.
We process photos you choose to upload for your profile, pets, or Pawscare Community content. Photo access is used only when you choose a photo or otherwise use a feature that requires it.
If you use Pawscare Community, we process information you choose to provide, including your profile name, username, biography, public pet summary, posts, comments, photos, polls, reactions, follows, blocks, and reports. Content you publish in Pawscare Community is visible to other users according to the feature in which you publish it. Your blocks and reports are used for safety and moderation and are not displayed as public profile content.
If you enable notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging may process a device notification token. Pawscare also processes whether notification permission has been granted so it can deliver the reminders and app notifications you choose to receive.
Firebase Analytics may process device information, app interaction information, IP address, and diagnostic information. This helps us understand how Pawscare is used, maintain performance, and diagnose problems.
If you grant permission and use the Nearby feature, Pawscare may access approximate or precise location to show nearby results. Your location is not stored in the Pawscare account database.
Pawscare uses OpenStreetMap map tiles. When map tiles load, OpenStreetMap may process your IP address and the approximate map area you are viewing. If you choose to open Google Maps or another map application, that service receives information according to its own privacy policy and your settings with that service.
Local reminder information and data needed by Pawscare home screen widgets may be stored on your device so those features can operate.

5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and app information while your account is active and as needed to provide Pawscare. Retention may vary by the type of information and the feature involved.
You can request account deletion directly in the app from Settings. The account deletion process attempts to delete your Firebase account, associated user records, and uploaded files. You may also contact hello@hnmlabs.com for help with a deletion request.
Some limited records may be retained when necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or Community safety and moderation. Information stored only on your device, such as local reminder or widget data, may remain until you remove it through the app, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app.

7. Security and International Processing
Pawscare relies on Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage to support account access and data storage. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our service providers, including Firebase, Google, Apple, and OpenStreetMap, may process information on servers located outside your country. Where applicable, information is handled under the provider’s safeguards and applicable data protection requirements.
8. Children’s Privacy
Pawscare is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided personal data in violation of this policy, contact us at hello@hnmlabs.com so we can review and take appropriate action.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy when Pawscare’s features, practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. If a change is material, we may also provide an additional notice in the app where appropriate.
